Subject:
small correction to other review
It actually was James Agate's quote in the Ian Fleming's introduction, not James Agee's. That said, I was searching for Agee and was led to this by that misattribution (is that a word??) so thanks all the same.

Subject:
Ian Fleming + James Agee both recommend
Ian Fleming had urged Cape, his own publisher, to reprint All Night at Mr Stanyhurst’s, which he caused to be republished by Jonathan Cape in 1963.
Ian Fleming looked back on this pleasure in his 1963 introduction to the 1933 novel
described by James Agee as “the best long story or short novel since Conrad”
the tale of a corrupt eighteenth-century rake, mixed with a nautical adventure, centered on a shipwreck
